Mindfulness & Meditation
A professional home for mindfulness and meditation teachers and schools.
IMMA is a members association for teachers and training schools across mindfulness, meditation, forest bathing, and nature connection. Individual teachers gain a professional credential, a directory listing, and a community of practitioners in more than 30 countries. Training schools gain recognised accreditation for their courses, giving graduates a qualification that carries weight in the field.
Who we are
IMMA was started by teachers, for teachers.
We saw that practitioners working across meditation, mindfulness, and nature connection often had to join separate associations, or settle for bodies that recognised only one type of training.
IMMA covers all three. We are independent of any religion or spiritual tradition. We set and maintain our standards based on training, experience, and professional conduct. We ask our members to practise what they teach.
Membership costs $99 AUD a year.

Two ways to work with IMMA
Individual teachers: Become a member
Open to anyone who has completed a recognised course in mindfulness, meditation, forest bathing, or nature connection. You do not need to have trained with an IMMA-accredited school to apply. Annual membership is $99.
Training schools: Accredit your course
IMMA accredits individual courses, not whole schools. This is because a school may offer training across many areas, and we assess only the courses that fall within our remit. It also means we can review the actual material your students receive, and stand behind it with confidence. Annual accreditation is AUD $159 per course.
We hold our members to a clear standard
Our Code of Ethics covers: respect for clients, confidentiality, professional integrity, clear boundaries, compassion in practice, honest communication, a grievance process, ongoing professional development, and respect for copyright.
Every IMMA member agrees to uphold these principles.
